Why “back to Jack” as a blog title?

My full  name is John Stark Baillie Jr.  but I had always been known as Jack Baillie (or Jackie when I was younger)

When I arrived in Florida  in June 1981 I was on my way to Texas where I had a vague lead for a job as a brakeman on a the railroad. After spending four months in Melbourne Florida I found my self in need of a job to replenish  the kitty and I landed a  job as a waiter in a restaurant named “Kismet”.  The job application did not have a space for nickname or preferred name. When I was introduced to the staff as “John” I didn’t tell them any different. After all this was only a temporary stop on my way to Texas…

So here it is April 2014 and I find my self working my way “back to Jack”
